Care & Repair England past partnerships and collaborations

Care & Repair England worked with a wide range of networks, groups and organisations who share our values and aims of improving older people's housing.

Examples include:

  • Care & Repair England supported the national Older People's Housing Champions Network which involves older activists from across England working together to improve housing for ageing

  • Care & Repair England chaired and administered the national Housing & Ageing Alliance, a broad network of organisations commited to improving housing for an ageing population

  • Care & Repair England managed the national Home Adaptations Consortium which involves a large number of organisations from the ageing, housing and disability charity sectors working together to champion quality provision of home adaptations for disabled people

  • Care & Repair England previously had a formal working partnership with the Centre for Ageing Better, including a shared ambition to reduce the number of non-decent homes and undertake joint activities to achieve this aim

  • We worked closely with a network of voluntary sector providers to improve the provision of impartial, independent information and advice about later life housing, care and finances, including Elderly Accommodation Counsel, Independent Age and Age UK

  • A productive partnership with the Northern Housing Consortium resulted in a number of joint activities to achieve a shared objective of improving the condition of the existing housing stock in the North of England
